  • ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) is headquartered in Canada, in Montreal. Thus, flying standards  are very high due to strict monitoring by Transport Canada. In Canada, one gets the experience of flying in all kinds of weather especially winter/snow and mountain flying. The cost is also comparatively cheaper than USA and India, besides ample number of planes are available and RTR examination is conducted in house which is convertible to Indian RTR as RTR-P without undergoing any exam (no part 1 and no part 2). This RTR P is valid for 10 years.  TC written PPL exams are conducted in house and for TC CPL written exams one has to book a slot with TC office as and when the student is fully prepared for such written examination.

On the basis of your Transport Canada CPL booklet (no temporary CPL endorsement) and Canadian RTR, one can get Indian RTR P issued by WPC and the validity of the same shall be 10 years as per Canadian CPL Booklet Validity.

It is not correct to say that the weather is always bad in Canada. Although it does snow  heavily in winter in Canada, Vancouver British Columbia experiences less snow compared to other states due to its proximity to the pacific ocean. As our flying school is located in Langley which is in Vancouver B.C, Canada, the weather is warmer as compared to other regions. Infact, Vancouver experiences more rain than snow , which makes the weather fit for flying.
